Your PD is not current this month, how come they approved it?
I am confused now!:D
I thought that with the Sept 2009 bulletin ( PD shifted to 01 Jan 2005 for EB2 India), my PD is current!
Am I missing something?

I received notice of decision for my wife's H-4 application and I am worried whether my case has been denied.
This is the content of the case received from CA with WACxxxxxxxxxxx.
NOTICE OF DECISION
This notice is in reference to form 1-539, application for Extend/Change of Nonimmigrant Status, requesting a change of status to that of a dependent of a specialty occupation worker under section 101(a)(15)(H)(i)(b) of the Immigrantion and Nationality Act.
It is ordered by the Director of the California service center, United States Citizenship and Immigration Sevices that the applicant's request for change of status be denied for the following reasons:
As a dependent, the applicant's classification is subject to the principal alien's status. The nonimmigrant visa petition filed in behalf of the principal alien, seeking a concurrent change of status to a specialty occupation worker classification under 101(a)(15)(H)(i)(b) of the Act, has been processed as a consulate notification because the principal alien's request for a change of nonimmigrant status has been den ied.
Since the principal will not be classified as a temporary nonimmgrant worker until she/he obtains the HI-B visa abroad at a United States Embassy or consulate, and has been lawfully admitted into the United States in the nonimmigrant status, the applicant does not qualify for the requested change of status.

Also I am trying to start my own IT training firm there so with gods on my side in 4-5 years that company can grow to a mid size firm.
Can you elaborate on your decision to start your own IT training firm (as opposed to a IT service provider)? I grew up in bangalore and there were a large number of training institutes back in the day. I am curious to know how your training firm is going to be different from others.

1. documented / undocumented is a matter of immigration status..... no human can be illegal..... an activity can be illegal which makes a person undocumented...... as defined by human law...... but above human law there is another law..... which is defined by an entity more or less we all believe in..... how can a new born child.... a creation of the creator be illegal? delivery of a child is not just a matter of mother.... its a matter of another life being brought into this world..... how can that child be illegal?
2. even felons are not shackled to bed.... unless someone is danger to others..... how can a pregnant woman just about to deliver a child be danger to anyone else.....

You joined just one month ago and started accusing IV because they did not reply to your PM. We get several PMs, emails, phone calls everyday. We try to attend as many as possible. However we also have our jobs and life. Not every IV core member comes to the forum to post messages. There are several things we do for this cause that is not forum management work.
If we had an office with a customer service department, we could answer everyone. If people want good customer service from IV, are they willing to provide help through their spouse who does not work and stay at home? In the last 2.5 we have posted several times, but only a handful of members offered help through their spouses to volunteer for IV. After initial start, almost all disappeared within 15 days because there was no money and appreciation by members in this volunteer effort. They preferred to find own jobs and make money. So tell me if you are willing to help out in managing our customer service 24/7?
This is for everyone:
Stop accusing IV if your greencard is not coming soon enough. As Admin2 said, we try to reply to people and help them. However in the last 2.5 years, we never had a single IV member calling us to thank us for helping them. This year everyone is able to file for a 2 year EAD. It was possible because of our effort during the admin fix campaign early this year. So many members are today enjoying the 2 year EAD and do not have to worry about renewing it every year. We have not heard a single member thanking us for it. While we are not here to ask for thank you notes, it is discouraging to hear members coming every week and opening threads accusing IV leadership just because visa bulletin was not in their favor. 2 months ago, some of these members were ignoring IV action item requests and only thinking about own cases and engaging in eb2 vs eb3 on the threads. Put yourself in our shoes and try to do what we are trying to do. Take out that many number of hours everyday for IV as we do. Go on your own expense to DC and meet lawmakers. Get threats from anti-immigrants and still continue to work on this effort without fear.
There is a thread for high five campaign. How many of us have really contributed a mere 5 dollar for it? The community of more than 30 thousand has failed to raise even 5K in more than 2 months and yet we want to see results. 5K is not even enough to file one greencard case and you want to lobby with it and fight with anti-immigrants who spend millions opposing us? Where is IV membership now when we need them? Is the IV membership ready to take the blame for its failure?
Today everyone is talking about sending clocks, letters or even has the courage to send emails to USCIS. 2.5 years ago people were scared to do any of this. Nobody was talking about employer problems or lawyer problems and willing to name them on forums. There was no action item. There was no awareness. But today we have changed all that. This is IV's biggest achievement.
So before you start pointing fingers at IV, pose a question to yourself. Have you done enough for this cause? We need threads to translate into action and results. Your contribution for IV should not be how many threads and posts you have created but what you have done for the community.
As we have always said, join your state chapters and if your chapter is not active, make it active. Be a leader. Use your energy to lead the effort and travel to DC and meet lawmaker offices. Meet lawmakers in your area. Make phone calls, write letters. But don't just create threads with ideas. We need people to work on those ideas.
Remember each one of us is responsible for IV's success and failure and IV is everyone.

Ok lets say that F1 is changed to a dual intent visa (Which i doubt will ever happen)
But lets say it happens then shouldn't they go to the end of the line
Is that not the same logic used by EB2 against EB3 Porters ?
What ever your logic the fact is currently F1 is NOT and immigrant intent visa and hence there is fraud currently. Now what happens in future is not deterministic but what is happening now is plain to see
What US will do is also non-deterministic. To gauge it, you can only try to understand the sentiments currently running in politics. Anyway, if you look at the issue I am bringing up, it has the potential to grant everyone their freedom. But maybe I am talking to the wrong person, because you already have your EAD .. well your brains are also welcome in solving the puzzle

All these happend to me on NWA and Lufthansa as well. It is just that day and time.
I have worst experience flying Gulf Air. I have never again used that airline. They treat you like bad and only way to get your rights is to fight and create a scene which I cannot do so best option is to avoid that airline.
I had recent experience with continental the flight got cancelled but the staff was good they immediately gave me tickets to Virgin Atlantic (which was earliest departure) but I had Advanced Parole and so could not take VA. Then I asked if I can get Qatar Airways and they did not ask any questions immediately booked me qatar. So my experience with continental at ticketing desk was awesome but the staff inside was not that great they were just Ok.
I feel Qatar is the best airline to fly. I prefer that one for now.

I am really happy and glad that I joined IV. No other immigration site including murthy.com, immigration.com was able to provide the updates like IV did durig this diffcult time. Hats off to IV and all members.

This thread is good. Keep it going. I strongly recommend that - everyone active on thbis thread , please update your IV profile and also join a state chapter if you have not already done that. if you do not have a state chapter, contact your neighboring state chapters or if you want to start a state chapter, contact pappu or paskal and get permission to start one.
It is very nice to see a lot of new mwmbers getting organized.
I live in PA. Please let me know, how to join the state chapters so that i can activiely participate in IV initiatives.
