Nice analogy but note that IV for me is like samplers. If I like what is being offered, I would donate. If I want some thing to be given as sampler, I will buy, contribute and market it. I cannot donate for samplers which were given before I knew abt it, even though some good people got benefited.

Please give it a thought. What IV is doing right now for GC related issues would be more or less the same kind of agenda after most of the folks get GC and will be yelling at the processing times for Citizenship. I bet on it!
There is nothing wrong in thinking ahead of time and especially having the
process initiated and getting refined with the great folks we have here(ignore the ugly stupids who cannot understand the intent of this thread)

I removed congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard from the list as she is now the co sponsor of all three bills
Hi all of the people who did not call!!! Just look at the response we got we already have 2 of the caucus members as co sponsors of the bill If every member of IV called I have no doubt that most of them will become co sponsors but also that the bill will pass. It is our time. We need this to happen.....
Please call, BTW what do you people think about calling again? I think it will count as more support?? Let me know what you guys think and may be all the people who are active can call again....

People are loosing hope on CIR. For time being Pl. keep CIR aside. It is election year. we are not priority for congress in this election year. Why do not we ask for filing I485 even VISAs are not availble. If we get ability to file I485 tens of thousands of people will get relief.
IV core group please think about this. We know you people are working under great pressure and criticism. I appreciate your patience and affords. Pl. think about my proposal.

I thought visa numbers are available equally per quarter and DOS is prevented from releasing numbers early. How can they say that all the visa numbers have been used (or will be used by April end)?
Q1: Oct-Dec
Q2: Jan-Mar
Q3: Apr-Jun
Q4: Jul-Sep
I think July visa bulletin would bring some good news when numbers for the last quarter along with the spill-over (if any), are released. If USICS is not as efficient we may even see some good advancement. Don't loose hope guys!!

I was just curious as to how many from Core Team will benefit from today's news. So I looked at the core team's GC details and here is the summary:
1. 8 out of 12 Core Team Members WILL NOT BENEFIT from today's news.
2. Because 6 of them are stuck in BEC
3. 2 of them are in the final stages of their GC.
But still they fought for this cause and never ever felt 'Why should I care'! Tears came running down when I looked at the details. You are just awesome. Though I am thankful today...I am thankful for the day I found this site and am thankful to god almighty for giving me an opportunity to know you all and work with you guys.
I also sincerely hope and wish that you all will get out of the mess you are in right now and we are with you till the end.
I vaguely remembered profiles of core members, but from what I could recall, I knew that most of them will not benefit from July visa bulletin.

i asked them is there any time frame and they mentioned no set of time frame for audit cases

Let me introduce myself as an EB3 applicant waiting for about 5 years in the line!
Not many will probably be pleased with what I would like state. This calls for some dispassionate introspection.
First of all, let us realize that Green Card is not a right. The rules of the game were clear when we applied and all of us were conscious of what was in store. We all applied with the hope (repeat hope) of settling in the USA. The July 2007 fiasco helped many, including myself, to file 485. The US government went out of its way to accommodate us, rolled back their decision and allowed us to file 485 at that time. We must be eternally thankful for that. There is no need for INS to fear us. We all know how many years it takes to receive a reply from any government office, back home.
To avoid wastage of visas, the INS has formulated some rules and many Indian citizens have been benefitted and will continue to benefit. The nos. have also been made transparent now. The problem with us is that we want more and more and more...Wastage of visas is not of relevance to the INS, it is of relevance to us. It is not fair to question the method of distribution or the rules behind the game. The truth is, we do not have any right to even comment, leave alone question the INS. Let us be clear about that.
It is not not correct to assume that INS rules of distribution have been made arbitrarily. Are we the only intelligent people in the world? Is it that no one has thinking capability? Come on friends, let us be patient and happy for the consideration shown by INS. May be there have been lapses in the past. But which country or which organization / individual has been absolutely infallible? So let us stop blaming and critizing INS.This is a negative approach.
Many Indians seem to get irritated when INS wants to enforce the rules. Nothing will ever happen to people who follow the rules in USA. I do not want to write in a public forum about all the tricks many do, to enter and stay here. Let us all listen to our inner voice.
The real solution would be to plead for a visa recapture. That would be a positive approach. This EB3 / EB2 argument will vertically split the forum. If we EB3 people want to push our agenda, the EB2 folks have a right to counter it and appeal to INS. Afterall, today's world is one of cold and ruthless competition. So, let us not pursue this path.
There are many EB2 candidates who have come to the US way back in 2001, but could file their Labor petitions only in 2006 or 2007 becasue they were forced to do bonded labour by the desi companies. In other words, everyone has had their share of the problems.
My humble request : LET US WORK UNITEDLY AND PLEAD FOR VISA RECAPTURE
EB3 friends, be confident. Everything will work out well!

Is there any way to distinguish contributing members from non-contributing members when they post on forums ... something like adding a field to "Join date", etc. to show whether they are contributing. This will at least persuade some members to contribute out of shame...

But, just think that getting the bill passed now will definitely help you in the future...
