My PD is Nov 24th 2005. EB2- India. Filed @NSC
Dates are current for my priority date. Havent heard anything USCIS on the primary or derivative case.
I opened a SR on 08/6th because the case should have been picked up based on their processing times. Haven't yet received any response on this.
I want to schedule an infopass appointment however looks like we need to wait for 30 days from the date of opening an SR, before scheduling this appointment.
Has anyone got slapped on the hand for not following this?
I have also sought help from my senator, however no useful information has come out of it.
Are their any other options available?

There has been a great deal of speculation that the House leadership may take the SAVE act and bring it to the floor before enough signatures can be collected to force a vote. The idea is that they would add some or all of these other proposals, or even amnesty itself, to the SAVE act to make it unattractive to the original sponsors�thus killing it.
It is doubtful that anything other than amnesty would kill this legislation.
There is a serious risk for the Democrats in forcing their members to vote
down an amnesty bill. That would undoubtedly alienate one of their core
voter constituencies.
If the SAVE bill passes, the likely result is that support for legal immigration reform will increase substantially. A number of members of Congress have said that they support legal immigration reform, but first want to see new enforcement measures put into place"

My application reached california service center on nov14 th for H1B extension. I am still waiting for the receipt notices. How long long does it take. Anyone in a similar boat.

I gave FP 2 weeks ahead of the scheduled date. They only checked whether I have a FP notice.
I got a biometrics notice which is 22 days from today. Is there a way to prephone the appointment or I can just go as you guys did

From this link it's sure Obama is going to get CIR taken care of.All those undocumented workers ,who he is so sweetly saying should get into the the end of the line after paying fine ,now will they effect our long queues in anyway?(like the amnesty people did to EB3 in 2000)
He is not talking about GC's ,though he did skirt around H1B. I'm not able to figure out if this article holds any good new for us .

I am planning on getting my H1 done for this year... i have talked to a couple of people about the same and someone said thai i might have Pay to get my H1 Processed and get the job.... is it a right choice to make....
most of the H1's consultant i have come across does only ITsector

Hello I am leaving for India in two days and have still not received my H1B approval. The receipt date is May 19th 2009. It is being processed at the CA center, is there anything I can to do get it soon.
It was a regular processing one, not the Premium processing one.
Help please!!!!
I am not sure what kind of help you are expecting from members. It seems you already are aware of Premium Processing (PP) service. If you had travel plans, you should have filed H1 under PP and not under regular processing. Anyways, you can upgrade your pending H1 to PP now by filing a form I-907 along with a copy of H1 receipt notice. But I dont think you will get your approval in the next 2 days. It usually takes atleast a week to 10 days to get it, that if its approved with no RFEs.

That was an old news. Around 60000 visa's were pre-allocated to pending applications before July 2nd, 2007. I would be very surprised if the numbers are not much more than 18000 for India EB3. India used to get around 40-45 K visas per year for all EB categories before 2005 since the soft quota was introduced. All these numbers are avilable on USCIS website.

Your questions are valid....but either way, you must enter US ASAP on your AP (or have someone mail ytou your GC). The issue is that you are NOT totally free once you get GC because immediately leaving your sponsoring employer is a no-no and can cause your GC to be revoked or be an issue at the time of citizenship. It is advisable to stick to the employer for 6mts to 1 year after GC - if the employer is still functioning. Also, USCIS has increased employment place visits for recent GC approvals. :)
