The only thing seems to be happening is that they are transferring cases from NSC/TSC to CSC/VSC for EADs, APs and I-485s for data entry and EAD/AP approval.
CSC seems to be doing a great job at that (received EADs and APs in exactly 60 days). Once these are issues and the I-485 data is fed in, the I-485 jurisdiction is passed back to NSC/TSC (wherever your I-485 originated from).
I am still waiting on my I-140 approval (filed in March 2007)...hoping to get it by around end of year.

Thank you all for your valuable suggestions... I have compiled the list from your posts and I will ask my attorney as to what all from here can be submitted...
1. marriage certificate
2. wedding photographs
3. wedding card invitation
4. property papers on joint name
5. other investments on joint name might help.
6. Indian passport has spouse's name entered
7. "Lease papers"
8. "Medical insurance papers with name of the spouse"
9. joint tax filed as additional proof.
10. Her H4 stamping etc can be a proof too
I am now trying to come up with a affidavit format that I need to send to some folks in India who attended our wedding and get those too... I will keep you all posted..

I'm not aware of any one else who directly deals with USCIS and with chambers of govt.

I think whey you try to send fax, it says how many faxes are sent so far. After that no info. If anybody is sending the fax, can you just update how many #10 and #11 were sent.

I do not know in which city of India you took out your PPF.,
But I heard you have to pay atleast 5% to get PPF back in Hyd.,
Hope corruption will not be that high by next 20 years in India!!
I can attest to that. It's not unusual to have to pay bribe from 10-25% to get the PPF money. And even that takes weeks/months to complete. I've personally known relatives in India who had to do that. It's not even considered anything out of ordinary there. Good Luck R2I's.

I called USCIS NSC yesterday and asked if my new approved I-140 was interfiled with my pending I-485. The IO asked me for my A# and then told me that she doesn't see the new I-140 starting with SRC on the system. She only sees the original I-140 with the LIN. It was very frustrating to hear this as I had called NSC a week before and the IO told me that the new I-140 is in the system and visa was available for me. However, I remembered that last week the IO did not ask me for my A#. She only asked for the receipt numbers of my pending I-485 and the new I-140.

My wife is using EAD . I am still on H1 and have not started using EAD. Can I still switch to a new employer with a H1 transfer ?. Or since, she is in EAD, should I do an AC21 only with EAD ?. Thanks..

I understand that there is lot of fear among applicants that USCIS might retrogress the dates interimly sometime in july due to the expected high volume of applications filing in the begining of july.
To minimize the chance of USCIS from taking any such steps, shall we all unite and file the applications on a specific date in july probably on 30th of july? This will accomodate all applicants...so that we shall all be winners and use this opportunity to our advantage instead of competing amongst each other...where only a few will be winners and others will be loosers.
This will also reduce the pressure among applicants , attorneys and doctors.
Can the AILA cooperate? Will there be unity amongst applicants to make this possible??? any ideas ??

Unless there is a change in immigration laws it will be very true that you cannot apply for 485 in the next 5 years. To make something happen it is very important to attend DC Rally.
So folks who are reading this, notice the importance of the Rally and your presence at the rally.

I travelled to India in December via Germany. I don't have a valid visa on my passport, but they allowed me to travel to India.
While coming back we have a valid US visa. I checked at Lufthansa counters in IAD airport and they said the transit visa is not required for immediate international flights.

What do you mean? My father was an engineer and he started his Bachelor of law at age 58 in 1996 in India, after retirement. regular college, which only 10% pass out off.
I'm only comparing the economy and education not the culture.

The first thing you should understand are most of these conversions are started by foreign organizations and their followers, and conversions by force or by paying money should be stopped immediately.
Well some general knowledge for you - I haven't heard of native roman catholics converting anyone. They are very conservative and it is very difficult religion to follow - numbers don't matter.
What propaganda is this? The american overseas pursuits are not related to religion.
There are some rogue organizations here, who run this as a business, with profit/loss, and they need to be monitored in India. They surely have branches there too.

Most members here will benefit here by 3 year EAD/APs, job flexibility and promotions. Members who missed the July VB boat, and new applicants, will get to apply 485 and get into the line. There was a hue and cry sometime back about restarting I-40 PP. Even that group stands to benefit as their demands are included too.
Hence the current low-level of participation is surprising. If we cannot collectively write even a letter for our cause, we might as well pack up or stop waiting/discussing VBs. They will be bleak for at least 4-5 years more. Come on folks, we can do better than this. We will write those letters and we'll succeed.
