Hi Guys,
My LCA has Computer Software Engineer as job title.I have 5 years of Experience as Oracle functional consultant.Currently I'm working as Oracle consultant.My 140 is approved and got my EAD card.In jan 2008 it will be 180 days of filing 485.I want to change my career towards IT Sales.
I have an offer from an American Staffing company as a Technical Recruiter.The job responsibilities include hiring Software Engineers.But the job title is different from my LCA.I want to join this company using EAD in jan 2008 and apply AC 21.Today I have checked with my Lawyer this is what she says"
In instances such as this, when we send the letter to the USCIS regarding AC21, we include the following details with reference to the job title. � Although the job title differs, the job duties are substantially the same. The title used by the company is their internal designation for this position."
She says that i will be able to work as Technical Recruiter using EAD.Any one can suggest me on this?I have very little knowledge about AC 21 and how it works

Guys
I filed my EAD recently and here is what you should do,
Send the supporting documents to the address mentioned at the bottom of your receipt.
Documents I have sent,
1. Cover Letter
2. Receipt Notice for online EAD filing
3. your earlier EAD paper in which your EAD arrived ( if this is renewal)
4. Your 485 Receipt Notice
This should suffice.
P.S I have already done finger printing.

Which center did you file, is it NSC? If so, on what date.
I applied on 23 July at NSC and havent received anything so far.

If the other guy worked for the company atleast 180 days, then your employer cannot prove that he had no intention to work for the company. If the guy worked for only a short time or didn't work at all for the company, then the company can win the case.

It is known that many employers and their attorneys do not provide their employees with the 485 receipt number. To avoid unnecessary trauma and strain on the employer-employee relationship, we should request USCIS to send a copy to the applicant whether 485 was filed with or without G28.

Is it possible to file I-485 without I-693(Medical) ?
The reason I ask is that I cannot get a doctor's appointment in July. For some reason, if we are able to file in July, can I submit the 485 first and submit teh I-693 later.
Please advise
As per the bulletin I read, USCIS has indicated they will reject the application without I-693 period. Hence search across whole of US; if need be. Remember another thing, the appointment with Dr. is always two times; first time they take your blood (for AIDS test); then they will call second time after the blood analysis is done; if everything is fine, they would sign the I-693 and put that in a sealed envolpe.

It would be good if more of you PhDs visiting here would post and share your ideas about what we should be doing to further the PACE amendments agenda. Regular posting by you and others will bring up new ideas and more importantly, keep up everyone�s motivation to see this thing through. Once postings and interactions reach a critical mass, things will pick up momentum which will see through the completion of our agenda. More postings will encourage still others to post and things will pick up momentum. This thread has had 654 page views but only 1 response!! Those of us who know about the S1932 bill and the campaign to get it passed in December know how effective a forum the internet and a site like this can be. Calling or e-mailing among ourselves cannot substitute the public reach and penetration of the internet, so its imperative that we keep this as the primary forum for information exchange.
