I don't understand about this fees.. I mean, you guys would have spent that money anyway. You may be loosing money for medical examination because it may expire. But the rest is something you would have done anyway.. I don't understand the logic of this thread..
Had we know that this was going to happen, at least for July 4 week, we would have planned a vacation and then used that money that we spent.

Outsourcing is not a good business at all. If you work for a big american consulting company it is good. My company is a big company in India, but still people in my work location think we people are contractors (cheap sweepers) and we are great workers then those people. It is all due to green card I have to stay with this company. Stop outsourcing and IT consulting companies. They never understand that computer is a scrable game.

Here are details of my interview:
VO: what do you do?
I: Software engineer.
VO: How many employees in your company?
I: 20-25
VO: I see your english is not good. How will you be able to do your job?
I: You are the first person to tell me in last 4 years that I cant do my job due to poor english.
[At this point I was ticked off]
VO: How long did you work for last employer?
I: 18 months
VO: How many employees in previous company?
I: 150
VO: How many Indians?
I: I dont know. Ask the employer.
VO: Is this company owned by Indians?
I: I dont ask my boss his citizenship status.
VO: Have you worked with them before?
I: Yes, I am here just to revalidate my visa.
VO: Why you are working for a small company?
I: My preference.
VO: How much salary do you earn?
I: XYZ USD per annum.
VO: Thank you very much sir, your visa is approved.
Didnt bother to thank her, just turned my back and walked away. Visa came by mail.

You are thinking only about the small percentage of "lost Indians" (including me) who are in this mess - if you really think about your motherland (and mine), help guys like NRN get a good infrastructure in place. By ridiculing him, what are you trying to say? had you been in his place, what would you have done? Settle here immediately, and launch a daily "freighter" to bring all Indians to US? This does raise some valid questions... For instance, what about children from, say, a previous marriage? What about children when the couples are not married? Do the children qualify under FB visa?
I realize this has nothing to do with EB immigration, and that such cases are relatively uncommon. But still, if someone with expertise and experience can comment, it would add to the knowledge base, and who knows, someone might find it extremely useful.

My Job duties on labor says
"Design, develop and test software using Java, C++, C, VB, Winrunner, SAP, Oracle, Networking, ASP and RUP"
The title in labor is "Software Engineer"
Now the new job offer has title as "Lead Developer"
and duties are
"The lead developer will be responsible for leading a team to creating components within Java, utilizing standard Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), writing unit test cases and supporting the Testing and Quality Assurance phases of the software development lifecycle."
Can somebody comment on this in context of same / similar job?

I dont understand why we are hurt when 2 Indian companies were asked to detail how they used the nearly 20000 H1B visas they procured this time. DAMNN!!! IT IS VERY VERY IMP TO KNOW THAT. How many of these H1s are going to be brought here and sold to other companies, how much and WHO pays them etc. Do you realize how many biotech companies couldn't hire people this time just because these monsters gobbled up all the H1s:mad: :mad: H1 is tailormade to boost the american economy and I firmly believe (just as any other country would wisely do) that the first preferance should be for US companies, OK. If the senators are wise, they will and they should, make it sure this time that this never happens in future. Regarding software, I firmly believe, as somebody mentioned earlier, that they also need to start small training centers everywhere. I dont say that there are not good professionals comming in, but believe me, all those so called mca, pgdca etc etc Man!! some of them even dont know the basics of computer!!

There is no freedom and especially education in India. in US even if you are a 60 year old you can join a university but in India things are different
What do you mean? My father was an engineer and he started his Bachelor of law at age 58 in 1996 in India, after retirement. regular college, which only 10% pass out off.
Again never compare Canada with India, India is Unique and I am not putting my Motherland on Trash, You are in a way doing that, by comparing it with Canada and USA.
I'm only comparing the economy and education not the culture.
STOP religious Conversion and propoganda all over the world all the countries will live happily.

The first thing you should understand are most of these conversions are started by foreign organizations and their followers, and conversions by force or by paying money should be stopped immediately.
Well some general knowledge for you - I haven't heard of native roman catholics converting anyone. They are very conservative and it is very difficult religion to follow - numbers don't matter.
What propaganda is this? The american overseas pursuits are not related to religion.
There are some rogue organizations here, who run this as a business, with profit/loss, and they need to be monitored in India. They surely have branches there too.
