Guys,
It seems every few weeks this discussion of VB predictions come up. Now neither Ron Gotcher nor Murthy nor Matthew Oh (or for that matter even God i think ;) ) can predict what the USCIS cut off dates will be. What is the point in debating whether Ron Gotcher is right or wrong? This is the United States, there is freedom of speech and anyone can say anything especially if it is just a prediction. We can assume a million things here, as to what the VB date should be, but will it be that? No one except the USCIS/DOS can actually confirm that.

I understand...those that are calling USCIS have no other way of finding out if their receipts were issued, their Lawyer / EMployers may not even let them know...
So they call to see if USCIS may be able to lookup their case by Last name or something......

Folks,
Let us focus on the rally and recapture of visa numbers. This more important to all than fighting out the LS issues and finding fault it is not our issue. If the LS guys gets rejects, they deserve it for not using their own Labor, and they a price for the same. Let us not beat them with a stick and focus on what can be done now.
Let us not build hatred against anyone, this can only undermine our efforts. You never know, heard FBI Checks are strict on LS folks, hope that is true, atleast genuine filers get it based on their PD, so be 2001 or 2002 as long as they are the original beneficiary.
Where is it mentioned that LC sub has been rejected ? I looked at the link and
I couldnt find any thing.

What was 245(i) amnesty?...just curious
Section 245(i) is a part of the INA. In 2001, this section was updated to allow people present illegally to submit a labor certification. This resulted in the DOL getting 6 years worth of applications in April 2001. These applications led to the establishment of the Backlog Elimination Centers and the PERM process. The applications filed 6 years ago are still being processed by the DOL.
Btw if you do not support DREAM ACT than you shouldn't be on this forum...
At this point I am neutral on the DREAM act. Before I can support the DREAM act you need to prove how it helps children of legal immigrants. I suspect there is more to your story than you are letting on. If you are 21 now, you would have been 19 in 2005 and well able to understand the consequences of becoming an illegal immigrant. As someone said the F1 was an option if you wanted to maintain legal status.

Ok, I've seen a lot of threads about go to the rally, actions items, I've reading a lot of guys saying dont ask for your receipt status, dont waste your time etc, etc.
Yes we did the rally we were great with all those signs, and appearing in the Indy TV but...
Question remains open:
1. When are they going to increase the GC quota?
2. When congress id going to do something?
I've the feeling that that's it we made our point but we are still with no GC, waiting receipts..............

Not into LUD-watching per se, but I got an email update for my spouse's case - same message. June 30/July 2 filer, TSC -> CSC -> NSC route, RFE responded to recently (1/28) for my own I-485.
Glad to know I wasn't the only one... and it probably doesn't mean a whole lot at this point given the priority dates.

The fact is republicans don’t like non whites to immigrate to US and the democrats are color blind to most extent but they are class conscious, they like illegals and poor people to immigrate to US because they can control them whereas they cannot control and herd the EB immigrants.
"reforming" the US immigration system by introducing a points based system where even existing applicants like the EB folks who have been in US for the last 10+ years have to re apply in points based nonsense system.
We will all have to fight for our cause but don’t have unrealistic expectations from CIR. Our best bet is a non cir piece meal bill visa recapture bill that addresses EB issues seperate from CIR, it is difficult to get such a bill passed but the chances for such a bill are better then Obama-durbin cir

My biggest fear is "choking up of the already inefficient system"...currently we at least can apply for something and expect it to be processed in few months (longer in some cases), get our EADs and APs renewed, call customer service with questions (although don't get needed info in most cases), get infopass....when they try to deal with "blue cards" and Z visas of 12 million plus illegals, none of this will be available.
And I do not want to start GC process from "scratch" in point bases system when I have spent so much time, money and energy in the current process...
Only and only Ron Gotcher can say "once CIR passes, everything will be current and stay current..." DREAM COME TRUE!

Members from NY/NJ/CT, please join the yahoo group. Murli and others are leading a strong campain. We need more support.
Always check with your state chapters.
State chapter leaders are more aware of our work than what we post on the forum for public.
There is lot of activity going on at this time. Everyone must join their state chapters to actively participate in IV effort.
There maybe some more news today. Hopefully... Stay tuned.

I think we need an IV movement to fix the Indian Consulates - They are absolutely pathetic - Lets get our house in order before we try to fix the USCIS !!! Does anybody know what is the email address for Meera Shankar - Indian Ambassador to US. We need to bombard her with emails about how badly the Indian consulates in the US are run.
You can "bombard" only when there is any space or they care about space.
Try every consulate/embassy's phone numbers, you can't even leave a VOICE MESSAGE.
You send an email to the email addresses, even your 5th generation great grandson won't get a reply.

I filed my I485/EAD/AP at Nebraska on July 24th, 2007. Got receipts for all of them on September 19th. Done FP on October 23rd for myself and my wife and saw a LUD on I-485 a day after. EADs were approved and received on October 10th. But i have not received AP yet. Looks like my application is still with NSC. Never got a transfer notice or anything and online status also shows "Case received and pending at Nebraska".
There is only one LUD on AP and that was on September 21st. Nothing after that.
Anybody in the same boat? Do i need to make an infopass to get more information on this. I need to travel in December and want to make sure i get AP before that.
