My experience says it doesn't matter too much. Just attach a letter explaining that and send the fees. If you are in rush pay the highest fees or else send the lowest fees. If there is anything missing they will send the application back (at their own cost) and ask you to provide more info/fees.

I totally agree with you.Couple of days back my lawyer informed us saying she might be able to file our case only in 2nd week of July & definetely not before that..Today she replies back saying that shez going to file our case by this weekend.:D :D :D
Most of the law firms are aware of the possibility of numbers being unavailabe in mid-july and they have started to speed up the work. For e.g me and my spouse are being represented separately by Fragomen but at two different locations. The one at Santa Clara has confirmed that they will send the AOS appls TODAY, June 29th 2007. No news from the other location in San Francisco but I know they are working with a high priority on AOS applications.
Hope that helps some folks in this forum.....

Phone calls and Emails does not work with Indian Consulates, I had received an advice from one of well wisher and sent a fax for the status of my childs PIO card, after sending fax they sent my passport within 3 days :), This is just my personal experience for the Indian consualte in Washington DC. So give a try FAX may work..

I just renew my passport at Houston, TX. It takes about 3 weeks. After so many tries, I was able to speak with CSR and she told me that it will take 3 weeks (this is standard processing time). I have received my new passport along with the old last week.

As per pending list of Emploment based I485 published by USCIS , and per my my estimation, EB3 with PD up to Dec 2004 will be cleared on or before Sep 2010.
Further if EB4 , EB5 , and EB6 spill over is allowed , then up to PD Sep 2005 (EB3 ) will be cleared by end of Sep 2010.

H1B was not started to help people from all over world, It was started to help US corporates to fight talent crunch..
If someone is responsible for the current state of affairs in the H1B area , It is Indian firms . The H1B1 was started in 'GOOD FAITH ' by United States to help people from "all over the world" to come in and work in the US , but large Indian IT houses have overexploited these loopholes so much that we are currently in this sorry state of affairs . In their greed for higher and higher profits(every Indian firm hits 30% profits every quarter ) they have spoiled a perfectly working program a few years ago to such a state that now getting an H1B has got less nothing to do with talent but has become like buying a supperlotto ticket .Below is a very good article from the "Economic Policy Institute " that highlights the fact that 2 well known Indian firms have single handedly lapped up 65% of H1B visas last year and have applied for just 69 green cards . Thats a GC application rate of 0.0004%. i Cannot help agree with the facts in this article. I totally agree that firms like these which abuse the system ought to be severely punished and blacklisted, so that geniunine US companies can get their required workers , when they need them . Looks like approvals has slowed down further.

Plus, there are practical benifits: People contribute more over the year if they are paying small amounts monthly (This is the very reason for existence of loans and credit :) )
Plus, it evens out the cash flow for IV and makes it more predictable.
Good job IV.. I have signed up for $ 20.. will up it later (I have serious expenses coming up in the short term :p ) Of course, my pledge to contribute 5 % of my tax returns still stands independent of all this.
