You are ABSOLUTELY correct in saying that all the forums mention EB2 and very little attention is shed on EB3. I wonder why! Is it because EB2 recepients are more actively involved on IV? Or because EB3 recepients are quieter? Both these situations lend themselves to the bias towards EB2. And ultimately lead to one thing - more being done for EB2. I am EB2 and believe you me - I'm not complaining.
Sadly though, the number of EB3 applicants is many many times the number of EB2. So, there's something to be said for participation and having your voice heard. It is no wonder then that we as a group are dismal at having our collective voices heard - we don't participate like our lives depended on it. And in this case our entire lives depend on what's going on...
So, instead of bickering and blaming, why don't we awaken the giant that is EB3 India and China and have them participate as well...maybe we'll be able to kill many many birds (country limits, DC rallies, contributions to IV and lobbying activities, phone call campaigns, letter campaigns...) with just one stone....just thinking out loud...that's all...

If dates are not favorable, i am considering moving to EB2.
I am afraid , folks like me when rush to EB2 ( which has been going on ) the VB for EB2 will show back ward dates again after 6months from now.

Please do not try to thwart the campaign. We are trying to address a specific issue, which is about blocking approvals when dates are current, and for that, we are using this current fiasco as an example. The USCIS memo specifically talks about EB2 india, china applicants on hold. Since EB3 was listed as U, we cannot do anything about it. If both EB2 and EB3 were current, I would have given a call to both. There is no belittling out here. the Circumstances are like that.
EB2 and EB3 are working together in the visa re-cpature.
This is a separate issue, but will be useful when visa re-capture is successful.

Lets not strictly follow what USCIS did and did not do in memo. We are all seeing the entire drama for the last 3-4 years.
Every EB3 after a little more experience gets qualified into EB2. Cant the department understand this , which we all do. There is no order. Lets together fight for a common cause and not discrimiate between Eb2 or EB3.
Commonsense rule is , if you are allowing 10 H1s to be processed, then why are you processing only 2-3 Greencards. What abot the remaining 7 and why should they wait, even after 8 years???.
Spillover and quotas are all BS.
Lets raise our voice together and see if they follow some discipline.
Anyone more than 8-10 years of being in the US and who followed the rules with merit deserves citizenship. Lets voice together as a campaign and get it straight. Yes, I am in the US for 9 years now..

People have given me reds for asking the dad to go to the cops and reminding this dad his duties.
I think these people who have given me reds only know how to produce many babies but do not know that it comes with a responsibility. Shame on you and to all those who live a life of fear and teach the same on this forum.
Tell me something, if you have an illegal gardener/cleaning guy/moving helper/carpenter/plumber/handyman/male babysitter etc in your house and you have employed him for his servicesand he rapes your wife. Will you not go to the cops? Or will you sit tight at home and just post on the forum saying that you are an H1B and you fear that your H1 and greencard application will be revoked. If you still feel that not going to the cops is a better option, then I do not think your wife deserves a Man like you and certainly not a impotent person like you.

No, we want ALL pregnant women every where to come to US to give birth so we can get to pay for there care.
There are concepts like decency , humanity and compassion which shouldn't be put aside just because someone is in the country illegally. Shackling a woman to a bed while she is giving birth is a inhumane and barbaric.
If you had bothered to read the story, you would have known that even convicted felons are not shackled while delivering. I guess it is worse to be an illegal immigrant in police detention than a convicted murdered in state penitentiary.

I have a problem where my "Given Name" is entered as "<first name> <last name>" in my passport (India). The "Surname" is left blank. I have been in the US for 7 years now and it has never been a problem so far. I usually enter the "<last name>" in the last name column on all documents. I wonder if this will cause problems during the I485 name check stage. Any one here who can throw some light on this issue?

She had her delivery in a hospital which automatically assures adequate care for the child (paid for by the good citizens of Maricopa county, i should add).
As long as the pregnancy is uncomplicated, a woman is perfectly capable of delivering with a leg shackled. In no way does that put her at risk of complications.

This is a totally wrong message someone out there put out to make people nervous. Application support centers do no have IO's. The only IO's you will meet would be at a different USCIS facility where you take appointment and stand before the counter and ask the questions.
There will be no reason why someone would meet a IO at the fingerprinting place which generally have technicians and security to monitor the process. You sit in a waiting room alongwith 100 other people, then once your name is called, you do the fingerprinting and get out of the door.
There is no time to mingle with IOs nor there will be IOs(friendly or not) who would be willing to disclose any information to you.
Some people online gloat at having pleasure to spread disinformation. this seems to be the case...
