I appreciate your enthusiasm. IV has directed all its members in the past to do what and when? They have also established a webfax mechanism and also asked IV members to contact the senators / congressmen. They have gone into the level of seperating statewise members and asking only certain state members to contact.
Once again I appreciate your thoughts. But the members should follow one direction and it should come from core IV. Do not do certain things without the consent from IV as it may back fire.

Man/Woman, I see so much energy here or could be just shouting. It would be in the best interest to use the energy to contact respective congressman/woman/senator of their area, ask them / request them to bring/pass legislation like SKIL and PACE. Tell them why this bill is needed. Tell them your problem. If everyone of us call congressman and woman and follow up with them on the progress that would be great. Am I doing it? Yep..Not joking IV members are involved.
IV guys can you develop questionnaire which we should ask the operator. What I did is I asked to operator to connect me someone who can help me in bringing immigration legislation. That is how I approached the operator. IV associates what I am getting at is how should people reach right person? As IV people have interacted with many senator office they have better idea what are different staffer there and how they are addressed, and how to reach them.
Let me know what are people thought? I think instead of wasting time, lets get to work. Help yourself by calling senator/congressman/woman. And this is oppurtune time.

Please dont BS for the sake of BS'ing.
Think before you type. The core team mentions $$ and ground work. Most are not interested in doing anything besides reading these forums. Realize the enormity of the task, the efforts required, then look in the mirror and ask yourself what you did besides BS'ing

Organizations who have Millions of dollar In budget for pushing and lobbying their Issues failed also for whatever reason ( He did not mention reasons ).
Does that mean that having a fat budget does not Impact the outcome ?
What It proves Is Its really the Politics, election, People's focus on the Issue which matters and NOT the lobbying with big fat budget.
And If its the case then our issue will be taken care of on its own merit when all above factors are in our favour, regardless of lobbying.
Just a thought, I hope I am not upsetting the general trend of praising efforts.

I called of them, took me less than 15 minutes. i am sure everyone else can call too. The selfish brats who have EAD's and are acting ignorant, remember if something goes wrong you could be stuck on EAD's for another 5- 10 years. The point is, we all as a highly skilled immigrants have an obligation to help ourselves and the ones who are stuck in this limbo till we get our GC.
You can either choose a piece of pie or take the whole cake home for your family and friends. Life is all about choices and a man is as good as his word. So give out your good word and help the others. 15 minutes that's it.

Xu1, that is a valid concern. I have sent in this request to admin. But on important issues like this, please do PM admin and other Moderators in addition to public posts. The core group is so drained by all the during the week activities that posts may not be actively monitored during weekends. I think the problem is also logistical, in that we are now getting a lot of checks - which is great, but also now, the core team members handling finances must now take time out to start sending email receipts. So wait for admin and the financial people to get back to you.
Moderators, do you think it's possible to issue an email receipt to contributors? I donated $250 so far and the first $100 was done through my bank billpay.. However, the online billpay deducted the amount right away, and it didn't give me any indication whether the check was actually endorsed by the intended recipient on the supposed delivery date.. Worrying about that, I sent in my second contribution via paypal.
Writing an actual paper check, I would see a copy of endorsement online, or using paypal I would know it's cashed out via email. But this is not the case with my bank's (bank of america) online billpay. Thanks!

if you all use little more IQ, you will realize that only with donation/money you will make a difference.
We all are here to make someone rich(employers, local businesses). So if you can make polititians rich, they will do something for you!
So stop calling... start donating to IV...

Please don't underestimate the power of these calls...The opposition does it every time to us and derail our efforts (just like they did it again to the Senate appropriation bill amendment) by just calling in large volumes. The orgs like numbersusa just call upon their members to call the lawmakers to oppose and their members plainly follow the instructions. Whereas 29000 strong org like ours debate it to death, let the moment pass by and then, have the audacity to complain that it did not work...
You can use that same IQ that you mentioned to figure it out yourself.

Logiclife. I know why you are responding to these comments you all are frustrated with such comments. I know it is hard to not respond but please ignore these asinine comments. Please have some of these comments linked to the main page. But believe me "barking dogs seldom bite." Such people will ultimately sap your energy. But, just like how IV is asking people to contribute please also ask them to use their own judgment, they do this at their own risk. There are many people like us who have faith in your group although we know you cannot do miracles. Please have faith and I sincerely request to all members & moderator that once we see these comments let us move this to the some thread called �IV bashing thread� and let the rest of us completely ignore them.

The processing of your case has been delayed. A check of our records establishes that your case is not yet ready for decision, as the required investigation into your background remains open.
PD: 01/29/07
485 Filling: 07/12/07
Receipt Date: 08/17/07
Got EAD, AP approved. Just last week I did my finger prints.....
I don't where I am and what would happend to my case....I am planning to change my job using AC21...is that going to impact anything to my processing????
What do you thing about the time frame for my case based on my PD????
Guru's please advice....as I am planning to chnage my job in March or April/08.....

How can we figure out the net assets from a 1120S tax return? I have the copy of company tax return with me and I am "accounting challenged". Can some one please help me figure out the net assets, so that I can answer my ability to pay RFE.

Company tax returns can only show the NET INCOME . You need an Audited Financial Statement prepared by a CPA to show NET ASSETS
