Hi Friends,
I checked my status and havent received any Soft LUD, but I received a FP notice couple of days back. I am not sure what this is for..My PD is Dec 2006 (EB3) and I received EAD/AP/I140 approved. I applied concurrently during the july fiasco and already done with FP on 2007 itself.
Now i am surprised why I need to , go for FP again. I am still in H1 and my EAD is expired and havent renewed.
Can anyone shed some light in to this FP notice ???

Following is my case....please help me make a decision on whether to see this through or not submit passport and just travel back on AP...
Chennai consulate H1. (transfer from F1-OPT-H1).
January 2nd - date of visa interview. Asked for additional info - 221g because I have a Phd in biology
January 6th - submitted additional information. research. publications etc.
February 1st (friday afternoon)- status updated to 'send passport' on chennai consulate website.
My concerns are -
1. How long does it take VFS to return passport, if I submit passport on Monday, February 4th?
2. Would I still have to go through the PIMS verification or should I assume the consulate has already done this because they have asked me to submit passport?
Please help if you can. I have already rescheduled my tickets twice...

even after entering US on Advance Parole.
Followup questions:
1. Is the I-94 # on your New H1B Approval same as the I-94 which you got
when you entered US on Advance Parole?
2. I am sure that your Attorney might have mentioned that last manner of
Entry into US is "Paroled" when he filed for your H1B transfer.
Please confirm this.

I quite do not get what you are asking. You want to know if buying a call on an ETF that has had a drawdown with an expiration of less than 15 days will be profitable?
There are various option strategies and I usually trade spreads as the most basic strategy. I rarely if ever buy just calls that too with such low theta (<15 days). I usually trade 4 legged spreads like the butterfly, iron condor or at least bull/bear calls/puts.
Most of the time I am long vol (vega) with a strip strap or straddle. Sometimes I am short vega but hedge it with an exotic like a digital, or binary on the vix. I always go for optimal delta hedge and often construct synthetics. Never plain vanilla calls and puts unless I am hedging something else in a different universe with an option.
If you can explain better what your strategy is I can make comments. If possible clearly state the greeks on the strategy so I can visualize it.

I partially agree with you. Btw, not all students have to prove that they would not work in US. Actually, my interview was fairly simple and pretty hilarious(that's a different story).
US law offers student 1 year OPT to gain experience and find employment. If the intention of the country was to deny/discourage employment to students then OPT would cease to exist. Also, the H1-B application would be rejected if they wanted to implement the rule, which they clearly don't. Again, that is a loophole. I had to submit a copy of my degree, transcripts etc. because my job required MS + 1.
In your opinion, would it be cool if a MS graduate moves back to India, gets a job offer in US (that qualifies for EB-2) and then moves back to US?

Hello guys please let me know if i am eligible for filing WoM.
My case details are:
EB2, PD 02/12/2002.
I-485 RD: 06/06/2007 and ND: 06/15/2007
I have converted my EB3 PD to EB2. Last month i applied for EAD renewal thinking that it might trigger my GC approval(some people still believe in this)
Today i received my EAD with 2 yrs extension. I consider this as a bad sign because USCIS clearly states that if the visa is unavailable then they will issue 2 yr EAD.
In my case my PD has been current since i filed 485 except two months in this year when EB2 was U.
I have opened 3SRs(on march, april, june 08), went for infopass once, written letters to 3 senators and 2 representatives on july 7th, 2008, sent fax to NSC, also sent letters to NSC and NSC director twice, called NSC several times. Of late is there anything of note even happening on the lobbying front? IV seems to have become another Immigration Portal kinda website where people are now posting all sorts of info, some of it not even immigration related.
It would be nice if someone in the core team updated the rest of us, who cannot join the state chapters due to personal reasons on the website.

All our I485 applications had a soft LUD of today. Recently I applied EAD for my son and it got approved within 15 days. One of my friends got LUD and later (after 2 days) a Hard LUD that they sent an RFE. Our SC is Nebraska. some of my friends also had got Soft LUD 2 weeks before but no change inside... Not sure what is awaiting us. Hopefully its all pre-adjudication. Any insights will be highly appreciated.

Nobody is complaining because everybody has the attitude, "Let somebody else do it, I will reap the benefits". It it the like, "Why should I pay IV when everybody else is paying it; I should just get free advice".
I & my colleague filed a complaint against our ex-employer early this year and the DOL W&H said they will work on our case in then next 3 months; they are currently working on cases filed in the last quarter of 2007. The reason why I filed a complaint was not because I need the money he owes me but because he exploits every employee and I wanted to bring him out in the open (will post the outcome once DOL does something about it). The fact is, as long as the employer knows he can get away with shit they will continue to break rules. Now that ICE is cracking down on er's hiring illegal immigrants you will see that er's will stop hiring them. I think the reason why we cannot get our much deserved provisions passed in the house and congress is because of the fact that today lots of US Citizens and Green Card holders are loosing their job to the people who are illegally present in the U.S. I don't beleive in shit, "Employer's cannot find U.S. workers". The fact is that employer's are not willing to pay workers the wages they deserve. Imagine one hour of Federal wage today after taxes will only get you 1 gallon of gas.
The employers are happier to hire illegals as they can pay them shit wages, they don't have to pay er's contribution of social security wages, no er's contribution of state taxes, no Medicare tax, no workers compensation. Just imagine wont we be annoyed if we can't find a job in India because Nepali or Bangladeshi (no disrespect to these countries) illegal migrants are talking our jobs away from us by working for lower wages.
