With all due respect, the probelem I have with volunteers is that I don't think amtures can pull a job this big, you've got to have profesionals, somethng like a compain maneger.
I admire the courage of your guys, and think the goal is fantastic. But the way it goes, I don't see how it can be achieved.
I've learned a great deal about immigration from the forum here. I very much appreciate it. I try to give back by answering questions others may have. I think IV has been doing a great job serving as that capacity.
But you guys want do something bigger. Well, you have faith in it, I don't, at least not now, neither many others. Maybe that is why you are still asking for money and volunteers.

But if you're on travel and questioned by immigration upon entrance if you're still working for sponsoring employer, depending on the circumstances, they can take your GC away. So that's another scenario separate from an audit or citrizenship interview that GC jeopardy may arise.
Didn't think about that. but... why would officer ask "do you work for the sponsoring employer"? Isn't your GC same as family based, asylum, etc. green cards? Does officer even have that information right away? What do they ask usually?
If circumstances change, like you getting laid off or fired, that's a different story. If the sponsor's intent changes, and that does happen, then obviously, you're free to move on. But you should be able to prove that, with say a termination letter, for example.
I don't see the difference between being laid off and leaving yourself. In case of being laid off, your employer has to show intent of employing you forever. If any document will surface, that he had plans to lay you off before applying for I-140 or without you invoking AC21 at moment of AOS, then you are in the same trouble.
All the way one keeps thinking that you are free to start a business, look for more exciting opportunities, go work in starbacuks...( yeah all that )...once you get a GC..
But, now everyone is talking about again sticking to the sponsoring employer, a green card being revoked while entry...and umpteen scenarios...
So, where does it end..when can one really feel you can flex yourself and do something without worrying about my employment history...
These issues are raised not to start freaking out, but just to know them and not to do some silly things.

Just try to be cool, listen to some nice music and relax.....job, GC, insurance etc should be secondary, you child is the most important thing for you now. Just be happy that you are blessed with the most beautiful thing in the world, a baby!

NK2006 thanks for the post my family and I recently entered US using AP and fortunately we were not questioned at POE. I am in similar situation waiting for 485 and filed AC21 when I changed jobs after six months.
That is not to say that we will not have problem in future. You mention your wife showed them a copy of rules pertaining to AC21. Can you post a link or post them here.
My lawyer never advised me to carry any such documents.

So USCIS will never see the flowers becoz they are boxed.. and they will never get delivered becoz they are being routed from the airport itself. No major news media covered the few deliveries at USCIS.. What was the point of the campaign again?

The more complex patients they deal with, the more they pay on mal practice insurance and other stuff. But I feel that on avg, they make more money than IT people on avg easily. AFAIK, A physician with good experience easily can make 150K-200K. C mon Docs in Residency take home 3K after taxes per month.

Someone has obtained the number of pending 485 cases working with a Senator. Those are the kinds of information that we should try to obtain and then make a educated estimate. When that estimate is alarming , initiate some actions.

Best is to lobby using aides of big corporations, developing relationship with lobbyists who already have connections, hiring lawyers, developing strong case, donations in election campaigns etc. All of this needs loads and loads of money. Are we ready to donate to IV and build strong lobbying group for our cause? That is the only way to change our current situation.

My wife's EAD was also pending for about 4 months. At infopass, officer said we have to wait. He asked to check back in 10 days.
Within 2 days, status changed to "card production ordered". Before, we had sent expedite request also.

This is story of a 84 year old Nazi from world war II whose citizenship was revoked. So even citizenship can be revoked.

Thats what I am sayin. Even naturalized citizenship can be revoked by revoking the underlying GC. Only citizenship by birth is the safest.
John walker Lynd was able to keep his citizenship in spite of being with Taliban. Had he been a naturalized citizen, I am sure US Govt would have revoked his citizenship by voiding his old GC.
